How long does it take to get approved to adopt/foster?

Up to two weeks. In some situations it may take longer if we cannot get in touch with your references.

How long does fostering a dog take?

It depends on the dog and how long it takes to find the perfect home for them. We seen some instances of fosters only have dogs for a week, while some dogs who need some extra TLC and training can take months until they are ready.

Can I deduct adoption fees or donations?

Yes. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit as of January 19, 2021.

I’ve been approved to adopt a specific dog. What happens now?

While transport is being arranged (if applicable), we will be routing you our adoption contract through HelloSign and also coordinate payment through Venmo or PayPal.

What is the adoption fee?

Our adoption fee varies depending on the dog and their needs. Please contact loveoflittlesrescue@gmail.com.

How is an application picked for a specific dog?

We do not operate on a first-come first-served basis. We analyze applications for the best fitting home for our dogs.

What if I am approved but the dog I want is not a good fit or no longer available?

Once approved, you are eligible to adopt any of our current or future dogs. We will work with you to find another dog that suits your and your family.
